ALL SESSIONS MUST FOLLOW THE BELOW RULES – CM CRITERIA BELOW
- Designed to meet a specific planning-related training objective;
- Is non-promotional in nature;
- Communicates a clearly identified educational purpose or objective, uses learning methodologies and formats that are appropriate to the activity’s educational purpose or objectives; and
- Designed to address demonstrated educational needs.
Ethics:
- Providers must demonstrate that the content of the activities is related to the AICP Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
- Note that your panel must include a majority of speakers who are AICP.
Law:
- Providers must demonstrate that the content of the activity is related to planning law.
- Such activities may include, but are not limited to, topics such as environmental law, land use law, redevelopment law, administrative and housing law.
- Note that your panel must include at least one speaker who is AICP and one speaker who holds a law degree or is licensed as an attorney.
Equity:
- Providers must demonstrate that the content of the activity addresses one of the following areas: equity, diversity, or inclusion.
- Note that the panel must include at least one speaker who is AICP, and a diversity of speakers is strongly encouraged.
Sustainability & Resiliency:
- Providers must demonstrate that the content of the activity must instruct in at least one of the learning areas identified for this topic here.
- You must also demonstrate that the instruction on a topic, tool, or project will integrally consider the equity, diversity, and inclusion implications for disadvantaged communities and convey relevant facts and analysis to attendees.
- Note that your panel must include at least one speaker who is AICP or FAICP.
