APA Florida Announces Partnership with Halifax Urban Ministries for FPC25 Volunteer Opportunity

 

As guests of Florida’s beautiful Space Coast, APA Florida invites all FPC25 attendees and members to give back to our host community by supporting Halifax Urban Ministries, a local nonprofit serving veterans, seniors, and families in need.

 

We invite all attendees to donate full-size hygiene items to help assemble care kits for individuals experiencing homelessness or economic hardship. During the conference, dedicated tables will be available for volunteers to assist in assembling these kits. It’s a soul-nourishing session amuse-bouche that sets the tone for meaningful engagement!

These care kits will be distributed through Halifax’s outreach programs serving Volusia and Flagler counties.

  • Shampoo + Conditioner

Founded in 1981 by local faith leaders, Halifax Urban Ministries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has grown from a grassroots meal program to a $3.4 million organization serving thousands annually. Their programs include:

  • Barracks of Hope: Transitional housing for veterans overcoming homelessness, addiction, and mental health challenges. (Barracks of Hope is also a stop on the Housing Brings Hope and Hope Brings Housing mobile tour!)
